… and a few more awards to wrap up….

Well last week was a very busy one for awards and such, so I waited a few days before posting the rest. Over the weekend I was nominated for my  first Leibster (Or as I have seen it Lobster – oohhh yum). Thank-you, thank-you to Shaun over at: Looking for reasoning to a complicated world

liebster-2OK we all know the drill – this is how the whole thing goes:

1. Thank the blogger who presented you with the Liebster Award, and link back to his or her blog. (done)

2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator; list 11 random facts about yourself, and create 11 questions for your nominees.

3. Present the Liebster Award to 11 bloggers, who have blogs with 200 followers or less, whom you feel deserve to be noticed.  Leave a comment on the blogs letting the owners know they have been chosen. (No tag backs.)

4. Upload the Liebster Award image to your blog. (done)

11 Question asked:

1. How long have you been on Word Press

Since August 8th 2012… that is the day of my first post…

2. What was your favourite Blog you can remember

Of mine? Or of some-one else’s? If it’s of mine I would have to say… uumm… Boredom is NOT an emotion…  it was a fun one to write…

3. What is your favourite food

Do I have to pick a favourite? I just happen to like food in general… ok… wow one favourite… how about instead I tell you a dream dinner, stuffed mushroom caps to start, Beef tenderloin cooked rare – medium rare, with atlantic lobster, and a twice baked stuffed potato… followed by New York cheesecake with fresh mixed berries and whip cream, and coffee…. Ok that or a Greek feast… sheesh what can I say I love food….

4. What was your favourite TV show as a Kid

Hands down Scooby Doo… 😀

5. What is your favourite movie of all time

Oh I hate these pick one thing questions…. sigh… here are a few in no particular order off of my fav’s list: Moulin Rouge, The Gladiator, Beyond Rangoon, August Rush…

6. Do you own a pet, if so what type

No, no and again no!!!

7. What is your favourite song ever

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol… one of many, not favourite ever… I just love music…

8. Are you in love

Sigh… I wish, but alas at this time no…

9. Who would you like with you if you were on a desert island for a year

I have no idea… but a year in seclusion with anyone would be pretty trying… I know… Wilson… 😀

10. What is your best childhood memory

Playing hooky with my mom and spending the day going hiking on the beach, and eating sorbet… just a me and her day… talking about packing our bags and just running away to where ever…

11. What you change about yourself

I think I would be skinnier, healthier and in the kind of shape I was in when I was many moons younger… that is what I would change…

Random Facts:

I love VW vans – I am a hippie at heart

I prefer pants to skirts and dresses

I have always wanted to own a horse

I grew up with a blood hound / coon hound cross named Homer – he was my best friend

I enjoy trying to grow plants – but somehow I always seem to kill them – I have the black thumb… 😦

I don’t really like comedies… I usually find them stupid and/or childish…

My favourite colour is olive green

I miss living by the ocean

Eagles are amazing birds and I think their call sounds like magic bells on the wind (they do not screech like on TV – that is a hawk call)

If I go out to eat with a friend and they get a pickle on their burger/sandwich I will try to steal it

and that’s all I got…

My 11 Nominations:

OK not  11, I recently have received a few other awards and played a game of blog tag… it starts getting hard to pick – who am I kidding it’s always hard to pick… but each award (and tag) ask for between 10 and 15 people…  also I have no idea if these people have more or less than 200 followers… I just like them and think they deserve some recognition… so… here is my list:

♪ You are my Sunshine… ♫

sunshine

Tazien over at Transcending Borders  was sweet enough to nominate me for the Sunshine Award! Thank-you Tazien!

So here we go once again with rules… I think by now you are starting to get how I feel about rules…

  1. Make sure to post this award on your blog site.
  2. Nominate 10 fellow bloggers. (It doesn’t have to be 10, just nominate some people who make the sun shine for you)
  3. Please answer 10 questions. (Or you could just tell us some things about you that we don’t already know)

MY NOMINEES: A handful of wonderful Sunshiney peeps:

Come November

Not quite Alice

Blessed with a Star

Random Muzings

Simple Drawings

Unspoken

QUESTIONS:

1) What inspired you to start blogging?

It all started with an essay contest actually. Blogging was something I had heard of but knew pretty much nothing about. Anyways, I entered a contest – funny I didn’t even make it as a finalist but something inside me stirred and I just knew I had to share the stuff in my head and heart with people… so I started myspokenheart.

Here is the essay that started it all – Sometimes We Just Need to Let Go…

2) How did you come up with the name of your blog?

I was talking with a friend I have known since I was 10 yrs old – grade 5 and after throwing a bunch of lame stuff at her My Spoken Heart just kind of popped out and so I googled it and found that it wasn’t being used and voila

3) What is your favorite blog to read?

There are so many I can’t even begin to narrow it down to 1. Each one with their own voice and style and message… If you see me liking or commenting then in that moment you are my favourite. 🙂

4) Tell me about your dream job?

Uuummm… well not sure if it exists… it would have be creative, and allow me to work from home… there would be music, art and writing involved… I would be on my own schedule, so I can be available for friends and family when they need me… if any of you have any inkling what job this might be please, please tell me!!!

5) Is your glass half full or half empty?

Some days half full, some days half empty, but in general I’m just glad I have a glass to put something in.

6) If you could go for a dream vacation, where would you go?

Dream vacation… where do I start? I would tour the world… Turkey, Greece, The whole Middle East, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand – ok you get the picture

7) What food can you absolutely not eat?

Hmmm…. I don’t know… I mean there are foods I don’t like (I don’t like liver – but I like pate, go figure)… but absolutely can’t eat… everything coming to mind are things I have never eaten before but they just seem gross – like brains or tongue or raw sea urchin…

8) Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Dark chocolate all the way baby! A nice 70% + chocolate made with real cocoa butter so it melts as soon as it hits your tongue… alongside a hot cup of coffee with just a bit of sugar in it… perfection

9) How much time you spend blogging?

Sometimes too much, sometimes not enough. As much as I need to I suppose, you know to release all the stuff floating around in my brain.

10) Do you watch T.V. if so, what are some of your favorite shows?

I actually don’t watch that much TV – I am more a movie person and even then sitting still for that long just staring is difficult.  If I’m at home my brain wanders, and if I get bored… let’s just say there are a lot of movies out there that I have only sort of watched. The big screen is different but I only go see movies that I really want to see at the theatre, cuz I’m cheap and they are expensive…
