Share Your World…

Hi y’all, I have never participated in Share Your World before, but have been contemplating it for quite some time. Just as I have never participated in any of the daily/weekly prompts, but again I have been thinking about it… we will see how this goes.

So this is apparently week #17, yet it is week #1 because as I said I’ve never done this before. So here it goes:

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

Hmmm. I don’t think I have one. I like a lot of scents, and due to allergies dislike a lot of those same scents. Also if I were to have a super power it would likely be my sense of smell. I love woodsy smells, and clean smells, and of course the scent of anything decadent and fattening.

…and on a weird note I like the smell of rubber/plastic.

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?ย

Either. I do not care for short, short hair. But for the past 5 or so years I have maintained my hair at roughly mid back length and just lastnite I actually cut it all off to just barely touching my shoulders and all layered.

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you donโ€™t know?)

Ummm this is an inner battle. When I was younger I wanted everything to be spontaneous, but with young kids HA! no such thing. Then I noticed that I very much wanted everything planned out. Now I try to plan out the major stuff as much as possible – like the driving directions – to me this is major. However I actually like being spontaneous when it comes to more ‘normal’ things like where and when to have lunch, or window shopping etc. Something I am learning to appreciate more as I get older.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

I’d have to say walking/hiking. It’s free, I can go at my own pace, and just enjoy myself.

Bonus question: ย What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that last week was a good week and my eldest grand daughter turned 6 years old! (that makes me feel so old!!!). AND I am looking forward to this weekend because me and a friend are having a kid free ladies weekend and staying in a hotel in Vancouver and seeing OneRepublic live!!!! So excited, and a wee bit stressed (driving in Vancouver – EEP!)

  5. Mmm, there’s nothing like the smell of hot plastic in the morning ๐Ÿ™‚ I know what you mean about rubber, though.
I’m always caught between planning and spontaneity. If I plan too much I get stressed out, but I’m not a spontaneous person. Tricky!

    • ummm hot plastic is pretty disgusting. I just remember getting a plastic (or something like plastic) pencil case when I was I a kid and loving the smell of it. Now whenever I smell that smell I am taken back to those memories ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes the balancing act between planned and spontaneous… EEP!
